Depending on panel height, the finished pool height is about 1’ - 2’ above grade. We excavate the ground with a mini-excavator and the SEMI-INGROUND is sunken into the ground about 2’-3’. We offer our SEMI-INGROUND pools as flat bottoms, but you may upgrade to a deep end. You would choose a SEMI-INGROUND pool if you were wanting to have a top-quality pool but want to built your own wood or composite deck around it. SEMI-INGROUND pools start at $56,997 for a 12’ x 16’ OVAL and $68,807 for the 10’ x 20’ Modern Rectangle VOS. They are all custom ordered and do not come in pre-fab kits. The cost for a SEMI-INGROUND POOL is a little less than an INGROUND because we are not including a concrete deck. These are NOT aboveground pools dug into the ground. This makes them much stronger than a typical ABOVEGROUND pool that only use a one-piece thin corrugated wall. There are various depths of SEMI-INGROUND pools from 42” panels to 60” panels, very similar to an INGROUND pool. ![]() The multiple heavy panels come in various sizes ranging from 3’ to 8’ wide and are bolted together to from the shape of the pool. They use similar strong 14G galvanized steel panels like INGROUND pools. SEMI-INGROUND pools, which are sometimes referred to as Onground Pools, are basically INGROUND pools that are raised out of the ground.
